New York, NY

New York City, located in the state of New York, is the largest city in the United States, with its metropolitan area ranking among the largest urban areas in the world. Founded as a commercial trading post by the Dutch in 1625, it served as the capital of the United States from 1785 until 1790, and has been the nation’s largest city since 1790. Located on one of the world’s finest natural harbors, New York is one of the world’s major centers of commerce and finance. November 2004- Colleen’s Bus tour with St. James Lutheran Church. I tagged along with my other family the Heiligs. Highlights of NYC were times square, Broadway show Beauty and the Beast, shopping at Macys, Saks and Bloomingdales, Site of the World Trade Center, and memorial church. Enjoyed a Lutheran Church service Sunday morning. The highlight of the weekend was Saturday morning at The Today Show followed by a tour of NBC! Click Here For Pictures.
