Travel Log
July 2009- This year was special because it was Collin’s first trip to the beach. We rented “Wyndsong” a house located along Coast Guard Road. This time around our mothers (Sally and Pat), along with Mickey, Russ, and Ryan joined us. It was their 1st time in EI. During our stay we did our normal stuff- sitting on the beach, enjoying the pool and relaxing. Our day trip was a return to visit to Battleship North Carolina. Click Here for pictures.
September 2007- The 2007 Beach Trip featured a return to Emerald Isle, North Carolina (after a brief stop in Virginia to visit Chris and Jill). We have another great time relaxing on the beach and just taking it easy. Our “day trip” featured a failed attempt to reach the Cape Lookout Lighthouse, instead when ended up re-visiting nearby Beaufort. There was also an invasion of Pirates as you will see in our photo album.Click Here For Pictures.
August 2004- Our second trip with the Hoff’s to Emerald Isle! During this trip we really enjoyed our Beach House, Atlantis Cottage (nicknamed MTV beach house by Jimmy); it featured many extras- hot tub, pool, elevator, 2 ice machines and a beach view in every room! As always we enjoyed our time on the beach, shell hunts, and moonlight views.

August 2002- Spent with good friends the Hoffs (Brad and Gina) and Leopolds (Karie and Opus); first time trip for Colleen, enjoyed the solitude of EI. True highlight of the trip was a day spent traveling to Wilmington, NC to tour Grandpa Masie’s Battleship; USS North Carolina. Grandpa was in the Navy active duty on the North Carolina during World War II. The ship is now a museum on the shores of Eagles Island.
