Charleston, SC

Charleston is a city in South Carolina. Charleston is one of America’s oldest cities established in 1670 as Charlestown or Charles Towne. Charleston is a major tourist destination, with a considerable number of “old south” historical attractions and museums. Its commerce includes the 4th largest shipping seaport in North America along with becoming a prime location for information technology corporations and the aerospace industry. The military has a presence as the Army, Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard operates bases in the metro area.

March 2003- On Colleen’s way home from Florida-  we made our 3rd stop in Charleston, SC; a little rainy but we sure felt southern as we toured the ageless town. Highlights: Walked along the Battery, Rainbow row, Drayton Hall Plantation. Click Here For Pictures.
